Wind Chamber Music Course

This course is open to all players wishing to concentrate on exploring wind chamber music. Sessions are supportive and informal. Applications are welcome from flute, clarinet, oboe, horn and bassoon players. Pre-formed groups are welcome to apply, and individual applications will be accommodated wherever possible (early booking is recommended). For individuals, care will be taken to form groups of players of compatible standards. Feel free to bring your own repertoire to work on, although some music will be available to borrow.

There are additional sessions for those who wish to explore larger ensembles, including wind octets & dectets (eg. Gounod’s Petite Symphonie), wind and piano groups (eg. Beethoven’s Quintet Op16), and large wind ensembles (eg. Mozart’s Serenade K361 ‘Gran Partita’).
